A report of a possible threat at Hamilton Middle School was received today through the See Send App. Officials immediately investigated. No evidence of a threat was located.
Wood County Schools takes all threats seriously and works with authorities to investigate all reports.
To assist with meeting the immunization requirements for 7th grade entry, the health department will be coming to Hamilton to hold a vaccine clinic (TDAP/MCV4) for current 6th graders on May 2nd and 3rd, 2023. Please contact the school nurse for a consent form to be sent home with your child. Thank you!

ONE Week Countdown to the Mobile Dental Clinic at HMS on April 11th! Students who DO NOT HAVE A DENTIST or HAVE NOT BEEN TO THE DENTIST IN A YEAR OR MORE may participate. Please contact the school nurse to request a consent form to be sent home with your child ASAP and returned ASAP. Only students with completed consents will be seen. A dental hygienist will perform a screening, cleaning, fluoride, and sealants if applicable. Greetings parents and guardians: While working through a glitch in our all-call system, Wood County Schools realized that our morning, elementary school attendance calls to parents informing of a student absence did not go out. We want you to know that this occurred and that the problem has been corrected. Absence calls will continue as normal on Monday.

Monday, February 6, 2023 will be a Professional Learning Day for employees. Students will not attend classes. Classes will resume on Tuesday at normal times.
Due to worsening road conditions, Wood County Schools will now be closed today, Tuesday, January 31st. There will be no classes. 261-day employees are to report two hours later than their normal start time.
